Well here’s one mystery solved! This is how much it’s going to cost you to get to Mysteryland USA in the Big Apple!

Mysteryland is a series of electronic dance music festivals held by the Netherlands-based promoter ID&T. Being the first of its kind in the country when it was established, its organizers have billed the event as the oldest dance music festival in the Netherlands. It has most recently been held at Haarlemmermeerse Bos in Haarlemmermeer; an exhibition ground that hosted the 2003 edition of the Dutch gardening festival Floriade.
In 2011, an international edition of Mysteryland was held in Chile, the first to be held outside the Netherlands.Β Over the Memorial Day weekend in May 2014, the first U.S. edition of Mysteryland was held at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, the site of the notable Woodstock festival held in 1969. The festival returns in its 3rd Bethel Woods edition this year with theΒ incredibleΒ headlining acts Odesza, Skrillex & Bassnectar and supporting acts like The Chainsmokers, Zeds Dead, Young Thug, Keys N Krates and Claptone among others. The 2016 edition is scheduled to be held from June 10 to June 13.
1. Tickets are already in their second phase so buy them now before they get any more expensive!
There are several options when it comes to buying either a standalone ticket or a ticket + camping combo. You can buy a 3 day Nomad festival ticket for about $287 including additional charges which is approx INR 19,000/-. If you’re planning on camping at the Holy Grounds, a combo Nomad package will cost you about $385 approx INR 25,500/-. If you’re travelling with a friend and want a little ease in setting up the tent, you can buy the two person Nomad Easy Tent combo for about $900 approx INR 60,000/- (30,000/- per person). Since hotels are really expensive in Bethel Woods, we advise you to pick one of the camping options so you can save quite a few bucks while also enjoying the complete Mysteryland experience. Make notethat all people camping on site need to be 21+ while the festival can be attended by anyone 19+. There are off site camping options for people under 21 but you’ll have to check for more info on that. Tickets and additional information are available on the official Mysteryland website.

2. Book your flights now to get the best rates!
A lot of people travel during the month of June, being the vacation period, so it is advisable to book your flights ASAP. If you go to Skyscanner right now, you’ll get the best deals right away which is approximately INR 49,000/- for a return flight from Mumbai. Your best bet is to fly to the JFK airport which is the main airport in NYC and also offers the cheapest flight according to our research. From there, you can hop onto a pre booked Mysteryland Shuttle which will cost you $50 approx INR 3,500/- for a one way trip. Make sure you buy the shuttle pass while buying your festival tickets. A return shuttle pass can be bought separately at the venue which will cost you another $50.
3. F&B is always a concern so it’s smart to plan out how much you’re gonna spend before you go.
According to some posts and comments on Reddit, you should end up spending approximately $250 approx INR 16,500/- on food & beverages across the three day festival. Also since you’re camping, you’re allowed to carry store bought supplies into the Holy GroundsΒ which is a great way to save money.
4. Try catching a few of the local sights while you’re there.
While sightseeing is not really plausible when you’re camping out in Bethel Woods which is quite far away from the main city, you can set aside a few extra days to explore the city that never sleeps. This also of course means spending extra on stay, food and other things which go outside the scope of this budget. Nevertheless, if you so choose to sight see, you can visit the places like the Statue Of Liberty, Times Square, Central Park and the Empire State Building or even take one of the popular cheap bus tours that are available throughout the city.

5. The final round up.
So a trip to Mysteryland USA should cost you about INR 30,000/- (Ticket & Easy Tent Per Person) +Β INR 49,000/- (Return Flight from Mumbai) + INR 7000/- (To and fro shuttle pass) + INR 20,000/- (F&B inside and outside the festival) = 1,06,000/-
