The Republic Day spirit took an interesting EDM turn.
DJ Shaan, the most followed electronic music producer in India, released a modern day rework of A.R. Rahman’s globally renowned classic ‘Jai Ho’ on Republic Day. The track has been created as ‘a patriotic gesture extended from the growing dance music community of India’.
The track is a collaborative effort between Shaan and ‘Afterlife’ – an emerging talent from Vadodara. The video for the track is a stunning edit of visuals captured from around the country that best signify the true essence of India. The track is a trap genre edit and features infectious beats that leave you wanting more. We’d say this version has done full justice to the original composition.
Citing the inspiration behind this track, DJ Shaan said, “Proud to be an Indian. I’m ever grateful for everything this nation has given me. Happy Republic Day fellow Indians.”
Early next month, he will be doing an exclusive showcase for Armada and Amsterdam Dance Event in collaboration with Shark & Ink in India.
