The band that’s responsible for some insane cult classics in the 1970’s disco era is coming to MumbaiΒ for the first time ever. Throughout the late 70’s and early 80’s, Boney M’s songs dominated European charts with a string of hits that are popular even today. You can groove to their songsΒ at Phoenix Marketcity, Kurla in Mumbai on Saturday, November 21, 2015.
The group’s official lineup featured Jamaican-born singers from Aruba, and their style has influences from disco, pop and reggae. The act will feature Liz Mitchell, one of the Jamaican-born singers who have been a part of the band since its inception in 1976. It has drawn huge crowds across the world, and promises to beΒ a “must for any unyielding disco fan wishing to submerge themselves in the warmth of a multi-coloured light display, complete with complementary ear-candy.”
The venue at Phoenix Marketcity, Kurla is becoming a major hub of entertainment in Mumbai, hosting a variety of events such as plays, theatre,Β musical events, and live performances at the 40,000 sq.ft.
