David Lynch has long been hailed as being an auteur who has an eye for the weird and the surreal in everyday life. His new “Festival of Disruption” goes down this weekend in LA!

Right from music videos to TV shows like Twin Peaks and bizarre movies like Mullholand Drive and Eraserhead, it would be an understatement to say that David Lynch does not think straight. Now, the festival format is getting the David Lynch treatment with his inaugural Festival of Disruption  to be held October 8-9, 2016 at the Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles, California.

Live performances are going to be presented by Robert Plant & The Sensational Space Shifters, St. Vincent, Rhye, Jon Hopkins and Questlove. One of the biggest attractions is going to be the live performance of all the music from Twin Peaks! There are going to be several talks and panel discussions by Mel Brooks, John Malkovich and Frank Gehry etc. We’re losing our shit already!

One of the things, which goes without saying, is that there are going to be film screenings as well. The Elephant Man, Blue Velvet Revisited, and rare David Lynch shorts will be screened for all those in attendance. Additional exhibits include the Photography of David Lynch, the Photography of Chris Stein, and an entire virtual reality theatre. All of this is going to send any cinephile into a tizzy!

The money collected from the festival is being donated to Lynch’s own charity “The David Lynch Foundation”, which helps people dealing with traumatic stress and provides them with help and relief.

This is one festival that is going to be a dream to attend!
