The band is the first headliner to be confirmed as part of the Glastonbury 2016 lineup.

The iconic Glastonbury Festival has invited British rockers Coldplay to headline for a 4th time (a first in the history of Glastonbury) in light of the success of their recent album, “A Head Full Of Dreams.” With Glastonbury being the only festival appearance this year before they start their world tour, fans are already waiting breathlessly for festival tickets to go on sale. The news broke when the band tweeted a picture of the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury with a poster of their album art.

Though it was known that they were headlining, they hadn’t confirmed their spotΒ which as per the poster is set for Sunday, June 26. Following previous Pyramid Stage headline appearances in 2002, 2005 and 2011, their 2011 set was later voted the Top Glastonbury Moment of the event’s long history by BBC Radio listeners (You can check out the best Coldplay festival performances right HERE). ELOΒ isΒ the only other act confirmed as yet with Barry Gibb rumoured to join them during the Sunday Tea-Time slot.Β Other rumouredΒ headlining and lineup acts includeΒ Muse, Adele, Foo Fighters, Radiohead and Beyonce among others.

Who do you think should be added to the lineup? Let us know!
