Yo China, don’t get your panties in a bunch

China is apparently unhappy (so what else is new?) about Glastonbury’s decision to invite Dalai Lama to the festival this year. As confirmed on his website, His Holiness, The Dalai Lama will be attending the UK’s holy grail of festivals as a ‘headliner’  ofthe Pyramid Stage at Worthy Farm on June 28th, where he will deliver a speech based on the “message of compassion and mutual understanding”

According to The Independent, the country’s official have warned organisers that by booking the spiritual leader, they have given an exiled man the platform to preach Tibetan secession from China i.e anti-China activities, even though the 14th Dalai Lama will NOT be meeting foreign officials while in Britain.

Needless to say, Glastonbury promoters are more than happy to have the head monk of Tibetan Buddhism attend their event, regardless of the Foreign Ministry’s view on the matter.
