Calvin Harris has shattered the world record for most hits in a single album!
2013 is the year of Calvin Harris! After being ranked #1 on the Forbes 2013 ‘DJ Rich List’, he has now added another accolade to his list. The house-superstar has broken a Guinness world record for the most top 10 hits in the UK from a single album!
Officially surpassing Michael Jackson’s longstanding record on UK charts, who managed to score 7 tracks in the top 10, Calvin’s album ’18 Months’ contains 9 tracks that became the top 10 singles in the UK. To be fair, MJ did not enjoy the power of the internet and Youtube or downloadable tracks from iTunes. If scaled up with today’s social media, can you fathom what his reach would have been? He achieved worldwide recognition at a time when it was exceptionally harder than today!
However, that does not take away the young star’s incredible accomplishment as he continues to dominate his genre and the world!
The tracks that helped the Scottish DJ break his records were:
Calvin Harris feat. Tinie Tempah – Drinking From The Bottle
Calvin Harris feat. Kelis – Bounce
Calvin Harris – Feel So Close
Calvin Harris – Thinking About You
Calvin Harris feat. Ne-Yo – Let’s Go
Calvin Harris feat. Example – We’ll Be Coming Back
Calvin Harris feat. Florence Welch – Sweet Nothing
Calvin Harris feat. Rihanna – We Found Love
Calvin Harris feat. Ellie Goulding – I Need Your Love
