Bonobo just shared a teaser video on Facebook which might be hinting at the new album coming out this year!Β
Almost a year back, on New Year’s Eve 2015, Simon Green a.k.a.Β Bonobo announced via Twitter that a new album would be coming out in 2016. The year is almost about to end, but there were no signs of a new album anywhere, until now. Yesterday, Bonobo took to Facebook to upload a 30 second cryptic video which might hint at the possibility of a new album dropping before 2016 ends.Β
The video, which is a time-lapse, shows a team of graffiti artists take over a street and paint a mural which presumably might be the new artwork for the new album. The soundtrack for the video as well, is a sound piece which has never been heard, only adding more fuel to the fire! The logo for Ninja Tune, which is the record label Simon has been with for a while, can also be seen on the design. The new album will be Bonobo’s 6th studio album. His last album was ‘North Borders‘ back in 2013.
Although concrete details are missing, we hope the new album drops before the year ends! It’ll be a great year indeed.
