It’s official!

Bestival, the ever-popular island boutique festival that wraps up the UK festival season, seems to be in the habit for breaking world records. The festival that previously once won a Guinness World Record (in 2010) for having the most people in costume at a single event, set another one during this year’s edition — for creating the world’s largest disco ball.

Yup! Confirmation about this  record-breaking disco ball was posted on the organiser’s Facebook and Twitter, which stated that the giant shiny ball beat the previous record of 9.98 meters (32 feet) in diameter with its size — 10 metres in diameter and standing at 33 feet.

It all started, when Rob Da Bank — the main man behind the festival — and his band of merry men, were challenged to create the massive  object by the world-famous musician Nile Rodgers. The rest we can say was history.

We honestly can’t wait to see what record they’ll be out to break next year. The world’s biggest fancy dress parade, maybe?
