Red Bull Music Academy to host the next edition of its month-long music workshop and festival series in Berlin from September 8 to October 12, 2018.

After touring cities across the globe, including Tokyo, New York, Melbourne, Cape Town, Paris, São Paulo and Montréal, the Red Bull Music Academy returns to the place where it all began back in 1998 to celebrate its 20th anniversary. And they invited music-makers from all over the world to take part in the Red Bull Music Academy 2018 between June 15 and September 4, 2017.

Offering new insights and perspectives on sound to artists who represent different genres, countries, and eras, each Academy is a world of its own where musicians come together. Each edition selects up to 60 musicians who are then flown to that year’s host city, embarking on a creative journey that many describe as life-changing. Indian musicians such as Oceantied, The Sine Painter and Jivraj Singh were selected in the recent past years to attend the Academy.

Providing a unique combination of people, perspectives, and environment, the Academy hosts artists who have shaped the history of music. It also provides a platform for an exchange of knowledge in its all-night sessions. The Academy on the hindsight also organises month-long series of public concerts and club nights all across the city. Making a place for where influential musicians meet the new generation, creating an environment where both can learn from the other and celebrate music’s past, present and future.
