Being offensive is Banks’ trademark. She once called for theΒ gang-rapeΒ of Sarah Palin, and now she’s extended theΒ courtesy to Zayn Malik by calling him a curry scented bitch. Wait, doesn’t everyone love the smell of curry?

Insulting Zayn Malik and 14 year old actress Skai Jackson among others on Twitter led to the 212 rapper getting kicked off the Rinse FM festival lineup.Β It all started withΒ an Instagram post by Azealia Banks hinting thatΒ former One Directioner, Zayn Malik copiedΒ parts of her video Chasing Time on his recent video Like I Would. She also went on toΒ say that she was not mad because “Zayn is a cutie pie”. Malik tweeted in what seemed to be a response to her, “I see you reaching but I don’t care” andΒ “My @’s too good for you.”

What followed inΒ theΒ Twitterverse was a slew of racist and homophobic tweets by Banks towards Malik. Zayn tried to douse the situation by saying “why you been saying nasty things about me ? I wasn’t talking about you lol ?”Β but there was no stopping her.Β In her rant she even went as far as to call Zayn a “curry-scented bitch”,Β β€˜sand nigga’, β€˜faggot’ andΒ a β€œpaki” who was β€œonly a part of 1d to draw brown attention”.Β

14 year old Skai Jackson, who appears in the Like I Would video, jumped into the mix defending Zayn but in turn drew the fire towards herself with Banks tweetingΒ “lol ur mom’s been pimping you out to disney since you were a lil girl. lets see what you end up like at 21. bye !” Skai handled the situation beautifully shutting Azealia down with “you got dissed by a one directioner how miserable can your life be?? Now have several seats Azealia Stanks!”

Soon the virtual fight got even more complicated with Azealia insulting the UK Grime/Rap scene and a variety of other things in an extremely derogatory manner. All this drama led theΒ Rinse Born & Bred FestivalΒ by Rinse FM to cancel her headlining slot. They also issued a statement saying, “We have decided to cancel Azealia Banks’ headline appearance at Rinse Born & Bred. Rinse Born & Bred is a celebration of rave culture and has been created for EVERYONE. We celebrate inclusivity and equality.”

Azealia has already been in the news recently for her callingΒ Beyonce’s LemonadeΒ anti-feminist,Β endorsingΒ Donald Trump and her comments against Sarah Palin saying she hoped she got “gang-banged” for which she is now facing legal action.

When has making such comments everΒ helped anyone? Don’t theyΒ know using racial and homophobic slurs is not at all acceptable especially in this day and age? *Sigh* Some people just don’t learn.
