The Amsterdam Dance Event raised the stakes this year By Announcing A Lineup Of 2500 Performers and 550 speakers in over 160 locations around Amsterdam.
Attributed as one of the world’s largest club festival, the 22nd edition of The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) has finally announced its lineup of 2500 artists who are all set to perform from the 18th to the 22nd of October at over 450+ events in Amsterdam. While in 2016 ADE hosted over 2,200 artists and 550 speakers in 140 locations, 2017 will see them take the fest a notch higher with 2,500 artists and 550 speakers in 160 locations. Not only have they lined up stellar performances but have also added technology conference – ADE Tech and the ADE Hangover to its array of daytime activities.
Making additions to their festival program, the performance lineup includes a special concert by Philip Glass and the ADE Hangover plus Dekmantel Soundsystem (NL), Ellen Alien (DE), Kriss Kross Amsterdam (NL), Lefto (BE), Philip Glass (US), Shanti Celeste (CL) and Sterac aka Steve Rachmand (NL).
Talking about what the future holds for ADE, Director Richard Zijlma said, “The global electronic music scene is growing enormously, especially through various crossovers with other styles like classical, jazz and hip-hop. During ADE, all these styles come together for five days all over Amsterdam, making the city a breeding ground for cultural and technological innovation. It’s great to see that more and more professionals and music lovers from The Netherlands and abroad find their way to Amsterdam.”
Apart from ADE being the event that brings together the best of DJ’s from all over the world, their day program aims at bringing everything under the sun from music, art, gear, tech, film, talks to pop-ups, et al. Their lineup for speakers include Boys Noize, Gary Numan, Hardwell, Irvine Welsh, Joris Voorn, Kenny Dope, Kiasmos, Modeselektor, Nadya Tolokonnikova, Nina Kraviz, Oliver Heldens, Philip Glass, Shelly Finkel, Soullwax, Riga and many more.
