This weekend has something for everyone. There’s indie music, there’s beach vibes, and there is a good dose of pop. So prepare to be spoilt for choice!
1. Rock in Rio
Where: Las Vegas
When: May 15 to 16
After a brilliant rock turnout last weekend, Rock in Rio isn’t letting Las Vegas rest anytime soon as it returns for another weekend featuring pop music. And the harbingers of the show? 2. Shaky Boots Festival
Where: Atlanta, GA
When: May 16 to 17
Atlanta clearly knows its music, and does it also have an affinity for all things shaky? After last weekend’s Shaky Knees festival that featured some remarkable indie artists taking centre-stage, the upcoming weekend’s inaugural Shaky Boots festival is downright country! Get your cowboy hats on as you groove to Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Rascal Flatts, Songs For Kids, Eli Young Bad and other country crooners. It’s American music at its sweetest.

3. Rock on the Range
Where: Columbus, OH
When: May 15 to 17
Rock on the Range is easily every rock lover’s dream festival. I mean, have you seen that brutal line-up? It features Slipknot, Marilyn Manson, Slash, Breaking Benjamin, Judas Priest, Linkin Park, Rise Against. With free-flowing guitar riffs and gut-wrenching lyrics, this is a rock festival at its purest best. The tickets have sold out though, so if you’re one of the lucky ones who has one, this is a good weekend guaranteed.

4. The Hangout Beach, Music and Arts Festival
Where: Gulf Shores, Alabama
When: May 15 to 17
There is a reason why Hangout finds itself on most of our beach festivals list, cause it literally is one of the best ones out there. Its summery vibe resonates perfectly with the ones who like lazing around at the beach during the season. And that god-awesome line-up is worth dropping. Some of the names touted to play are Foo Fighters, Beck, Paramore and Major Lazer. All this while you sip beer in your beachwear. Perfect, really.
