With July’s first week coming up, America descends into a slight breather as it prepares for yet another month of crazy festivals. But this week still delivers. Let the Sherp round you up with the ones to check out!

The first week of July has three great festivals on the offer. So read on.

1. High Sierra Music Festival
Where: Quincy, CA
When: July 2 to 5

The family getaway this weekend will be in the warm confines of Quincy & Plumas CountyΒ as High Sierra Music Festival is all geared up to deliverΒ a cohesively engaging experience. Along with enjoying a great line-up including The String Cheese Incident, Umphrey’s McGee, The Word, The John Butler Trio, Nicki Bluhm along with some quality time with the activities lined up at the festival’s Family Village, as you experience more than music amidst the rugged canyons and picturesque lakes at Plumas County.

2. Essence Music Festival
Where: New Orleans, LA
When: July 2 to 5

One of the greatest celebrations of the African-American culture, the two decade old Essence Music Festival has seen participation from some of the most prominent artists belonging to the community like Janet Jackson, Rihanna, John Legend, Kanye West, Mary J. Blige, Stevie Wonder, Erykah Badu, Aretha Franklin and Prince, to name a few. This year too, Β the festival features a range of influential artists and speakers, in an attempt to further African-American arts. Look out for Kendrick Lamar, Usher, Erykah Badu, Kevin Hart, and Dee.

3. Wanderlust Aspen-Snowmass
Where: Snowmass Village, CO
When: July 2 to 5

High up the hills in the morning, or unwind with some great yoga activities. Hop onto some guided adventure trail, or tune in to some local, sustainable food. Do all this while you also enjoy some great live music on display. involving benefactors of cool like Moby, MC Yogi, The SteelDrivers, beatgypsy, and Tasha Blank along with a host of yoga and mindful activity related speakers.
