The festival-hopping list your bank account will thank you for.

With festival season officially upon us, its going to be hard looking at all those pictures on social media of people having the craziest fun, while curled up in our bed on Saturday night. Because we surely cant afford to go these exotic places with our non-existent budget right? Wrong. Europe happens to have some absolutely beautiful festivals that are surprisingly affordable. Here are a few that you cannot afford to miss!

1. Meadows in the Mountains

Where: Polkovnik Serafimovo, Bulgaria
When: June 10 to 12

Tickets: 120 EU for three days

Imagine Glastonbury. Now imagine a calmer, much more intense version of it. Then put it up on a mountain that offers absolutely stunning views. There, you have what Meadows in the Mountains is all about. This is the kind of hippie retreat that you want to go to. Honestly, its not a festival for everyone. Its located on a distant mountain that is quite tricky to get to. So one thing is for sure, anyone who heads here quite firmly wants to be there. Which is what makes the festival so magic to be at. The entire experience is cut off from daily realities and you can lose yourself in the happy and chill vibe there. They offer the option to rent out beautifully rustic houses, whose prices you can go on the website and check out. All in all, this is one festival you don’t wanna miss.

Tickets: Free

Now if you haven’t heard of Surfer Joe, you are really, really going to be thanking us. Surfer Joe’s is absolute goals when it comes to summer festivals with it being set on the ridiculously beautiful beaches of Livorno, Italy. You can expect to surround yourself with gorgeous people food and music for the entirety of the four day music festival, which is the biggest congregation for the modern surfing community right now. The music is all about reverb and chill surf bands like Surf Music Brazil and The Gasolines. But the best part about the festival is that its completely free. Yes, all that awesomeness totally free of cost. So book your tickets as already and enjoy the Italian summer the way it deserves to be.

Well if you want to camp out as well, an extra 15 EUR will sort you out nice and good. And yes, we suggest you camp. We suggest you try your best not to miss out anything at this seriously epic festival that has been getting bigger and better over the years. Quite like its ticket prices. It received an award for being the Best Major Festival at the European Festival Awards in 2009 and 2010. And its like the lineup is everything we dreamed of. With Bastille, Florence+The Machine, Wiz Khalifa, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The 1975, Sigur Ros and Tame Impala giving us serious FOMO, Open’er is going to another level of awesome this year.

4. EXIT Festival

Where: Novi Sad, Serbia

When: July 7 to 10

Tickets: 99 GBP for 4 days

One of the more affordable festivals that we have come across, EXIT Festival is an investment. An investment in having one of the best experiences of your life. And for that, we think 99 pounds is hella cheap. And not to mention the location! Set in an exotic 17th century fortress that offers breathtaking views, everything about the festival is goals. The festival is also known for its diverse lineup, that taps talent in from various genres and brings them all together for one of the greatest parties ever. This year’s lineup includes Wiz Khalifa, Lost Frequencies, Niky Romero, Dmitri Vegas and Like Mike and Dave Clark.

6. Benicassim Festival

Where: Benicassim, Spain

When: July 14 to 17

Tickets: 147 euro for four days.

Benicassim orΒ Festival Internacional de BenicΓ ssim (FIB) is one of the most well known festivals in Spain. And with good reason. The festival focuses on the best of electronic, rock and pop music while also being all about the arts and culture like short films, fashion shows and art exhibitions all over town. So when we said the best of music, we meant the best of music because this year’s line up includes drool worthy acts such as Muse, Kendrick Lamar, Disclosure, Skepta, The Kills, The Vaccines and Massive Attack. Yes. ALL of them at one festival. Its like everything we ever wanted.

7. Sea Dance Festival

Where: Budva, Montenegro

When: July 14 to 16

Tickets: 69 EU for three days

A sister edition of EXIT Festival, Sea Dance is all about the beach lifestyle. Held on Montenegro’s exotic Jaz Beach, Sea Dance brings out some pretty incredible artists that you will probably never get to see in such a setting again. And at that price! Hardly. With Skrillex headlining and acts like Sister Bliss, Hurts and Lost Frequencies performing as well, we promise this year is going to be pretty sick.

8. Mysteryland

Where: Netherlands

When: August 28 to 29

Tickets: 119 EUR for two days

The only thing mysterious about this festival is how they manage to have such affordable tickets. Though its other edition in the US is a little more expensive, Mysteryland NetherlandsΒ is the place to be. Taking place on August 27 and 28, the festival promises to be one crazy experience. Though if you want to include camping, you’re going to have to fork out about 20 EUR more, but we think that’s still pretty good considering how great the festival is. With acts like Rebekah and Eddy M part of their sick lineup, we highly suggest you start your bookings while the tickets are still available!
