Yameii and Deko, you might’ve heard these names before if you follow the underground hip-hop scene. The song Baby my phone which recently blew up on tik tok was a Yameii song. They’ve been making hyper pop music for a while now, and have been pretty successful at it. The duo isn’t a duo actually, they are two separate artists who often collab.
Who is Yameii and Deko?
As mentioned earlier, Yameii is a virtual artist, she is only seen on screen, whereas Deko is the person behind her music. Oseanworld is the person who makes her a reality, together these two creative geniuses created her! The songs made by Deko are one of a kind and you’ll not find a single artist who is doing something similar to him. He is a master when it comes to making music, rapping, not so much.
He seems to be taking inspiration from artists like Trippie Redd, Playboi Carti, 100 Gecs, and Lil Uzi Vert. Somehow Deko has managed to make the sound of the old retro games and cute anime synths into head-bumping hype songs, and we love it.
The best way to get into their music is by listening to the CYBERSPACE album which is by far their best project.
