Minecraft isn’t a game that has linear progression and that’s one of the things people love about the game. The fact that you can do anything that you can imagine is just so powerful. That being said, the game has some constraints set, like the ender dragon battle in the Minecraft End dimension. Once the battle is over, the game is over, and there is so much potential left unexploited even after the battle. So today we’ll shed some light on whether or not we’ll ever get a post-end battle game mode or new boss!
Post Ender Dragon Battle!
The ender dragon is the last boss of the game. Hence the name ender dragon, and it resides in the end. When the dragon was added to the game, the idea was to give closure to the story. But this wasn’t a great idea it bars the devs from adding any more content further on in the game.
But once all the current features of the game are updated. And the end dimension is done updating what will come next? Well, they can the terraria way! For those who don’t know, Terraria is a Minecraft-inspired sandbox RPG that has a ton of bosses, and Minecraft in the past years has borrowed a lot of features from the game.
In Terraria once you defeat the final boss, you unlock the hard mode, which just resets the world and spawns even harder bosses. This is the route Minecraft will likely take. And we’re really excited about it!
