Much to our collective delight their will be lots of Β great cinema coming your way which will be entertaining as well as educative.
1. Go Goa Gone (Zombie Comedy) starring Saif Ali Khan and Kunal Khemu

What it’s about : Hidden away in the shadow of the Himalayas, roam the last great herds of Indiaβs giant grazers; one-horned rhinoceros, wild buffalo and Asian elephants. Through the eyes of a newborn elephant calf, visit a land of unexpected contrasts and else variety

Dance
The Sherp’s picked three diametrically different dance events to catch. Come say hi!
1. Capoeira Cross
Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance, acrobatics and music. It is known by quick and complex moves, variety of kicks, spins and highly mobile techniques.

2. AΒ Bharathnatyam Recital by theΒ Ramamoorthy & Guru SmtΒ Manjula Ramaswamy. ( presented byΒ Sri Rama Nataka Niketan ,Secunderabad)
A Bharata Natyam Recital with the dancers dancing on Inverted Mud Pots with 3 small brass pots on their head and lit candles on their two hands & head and reaching out with “Deepa Tarangini”.

3.Β Splitsole Dance Academy

If you’ve been to previous Kala Ghoda editions, you’d know that the Street events constitute the heart and soul of this beautiful festival.
1. Murray Molloy

2.St. Xavier’s college’sΒ Jagrook PartyΒ Street Play
St. Xavier’s college’s Jagrook Party, presents street play “Ugta Suraj”The theme of this street play is to create awareness on Women Empowerment through this act of chess played during the Mahabharata when ‘Drupatee’ was molested by “Duryodhana”, though Krisha was present there he didn’t do anything. We will be bring out the message that Krishna is present in everyone, but yet we dont step forward and fight for the women.

3. Bahurupia from WZCC
Bahurupias are the street performers who wear different characters every day and move door to door to
entertain a small group of spectators

Theatre
Thornton Wilder once said,”I regard the theatre as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being.” It is safe to say that theatre performances and plays at the Kala Ghoda festival are no less.

The Art of Healthy Living with Emmanuel presented by Nutrela will showcase the Junior Masterchef Emanuel preparing some healthy and tasty snacks with Nutrela Soya. A good perspective how Soya can feature in your day to day food.
