The Pokemon phenomenon never dies β and it doesnβt fade away either. The Pokemon craze among the fanbase is still as young as ever. 27th of February is celebrated as National Pokemon day worldwide as it marks the birth anniversary of the popular franchise. In 2022, the Pokemon franchise completes 26 years.
The Pokemon journey first started on this date back in 1996; when the franchise released a pair of video games Pokemon Red and Green on the Original Game Boy.Β
Official confirmation by the Pokemon Japanese Twitter account has been made; that they will be making an announcement every day this week till the Pokemon day which is this Sunday.Β
These announcements will be in relation to Pokemon Masters EX, Sword & Shield; followed by CafΓ© Mix, Pokemon Unite, P25 Music, and lastly with Pokemon Go. All of this is confirmed by Pokemon themselves while replying to their own tweet.
Many of us are anticipating any news on DLC, there might be some light on the fact. Pokemon tweeted that they will be announcing a project to honour the βPokemon Dayβ; without any reference or clue to what the announcement might be. Legends: Arceus was not mentioned even once by the Pokemon the rest of the week, so itβs highly likely that the announcement on Sunday might be in regards to Legends: Arceus. Other than that, there is no clue on what the announcement will be about, only time will tell.
