Pikachu has been a fan favourite since ages, but Japan really outdid itself this time. There’s actually a festival dedicated to the electrifying Pokemon namedΒ Pikachu Tairyou Hassei-ChuΒ which roughly translates to ‘An Outbreak Of Pikachus.’Β The week long festival has been held annually since 2014.
Organizers hope to boost tourism with the festival especially with the current Pokemon GO obsession. Harmless enough right? WRONG! Watching giant, constantly smiling Pikachus walking through the streets is surprisingly unsettling. Don’t believe us? Decide for yourselves :
