Parekh and Singh, the duo from Kolkata whose breezy song “I Love You Baby, I Love You Doll” got a new video, is a picture perfect tribute to Wes Anderson and his style of movies!

Nischay Parekh and Jivraj Singh, both natives of Kolkata, have always had a different take to their music. Amazingly, breezy acoustic guitars paired with synth like beats and harmonious vocals by the duo gives their music a fresh take on what the Indian music scene is all about these days. The duo just dropped their new video for their song “I Love You Baby, I Love You Doll” and we can’t stop killing the replay button!

The video, which sees them both in matching suits in old Calcutta, is superbly striking and beautiful. Right from the minute the video starts, you can’t help but notice the uncanny resemblance of the framing as well as the elements which is very synonymous with famous film-maker Wes Anderson! Several shots in the video look like they’ve been lifted straight out of “The Grand Budapest Hotel” or even “The Darjeeling Limited”.

The song is an emotional ballad that sees both the performers in a quirky environment that compliments the lyrics and the mood! The biggest thing that has happened since the video dropped is that their video was sent to Wes Anderson and he PERSONALLY REPLIED back saying that he liked the video!

HOLY S**T!

This is probably the best example of what they call “the cherry on top”!

With the success this video is going to have, it is needless to say that Parekh and Singh are not going to slow down any time soon!
