One of the most iconic bands in rock history just reunited after over two decades and though it wasn’t exactly their best performance, it was still a memorable night for fans!

Ever since Slash and Duff McKagan exited the band in 1993, the Guns N’ Roses reunion requests never stopped. It almost seemed a fantasy especially with the bad blood between Axl Rose and Slash, but all that was put aside for a historic performance at Coachella 2016.

The reunion had a rocky start with front-man Axl Rose injuring his foot, confining him to a special chair loaned to him by Dave Grohl who recently faced a similar predicament. Nevertheless, Rose actually appeared on time and sang some of the GnR hits like Welcome To The Jungle, ‘Paradise City, Mr. Brownstone,Β Sweet Child O’ Mine,Β November Rain, Chinese Democracy and Better. Slash on the other hand absolutelyΒ slayed his guitar parts probably because he has already been performing them along with Myles Kennedy. McKagan also skillfully covered the bass with ease.

What really surprised everyone is when AC/DC guitarist Angus Young joined them on stage to perform covers of his band’s tracksΒ Whole Lotta Rosie and Riff Raff. They also confirmed Axl Rose as the replacement forΒ Brian Johnson, the long time lead singer of AC’DC, for the remainder of their Rock or Bust World Tour.Β Brian unfortunately had to back out from the tour because of the possibility of him losing his hearing if he continued performing in such loud atmospheres.

Fans were both filled with nostalgia and disappointment atΒ the Guns N’ Roses reunionΒ with the immobile Rose and his less than stellar voice due to age and health issues. Was the band trying too hard to recreate the magic? Was this reunion necessary? Give them a listen and tell us what you think!
