A few videos of Dave Grohl playing the drums for Nirvana for the first time in 1990 have surfaced and they are magical!Β

Dave Grohl is undoubtedly the undisputed king of the current rock scene. It is really hard to imagine Nirvana without Dave Grohl on the drums. But there used to be a time when both these were two different entities existing separately. On September 25, 1990 Dave replaced Chad Channing as the drummer for Nirvana and changed the course of his life as well as the bands. His first live performance with Nirvana was on 11th October, 1990.

It’s actually something that makes you think, ‘What would Nirvana be without Dave Grohl’s insane energy and goofiness behind the drum kit?’ Would he get the necessary insight and motivation to start Foo Fighters later on in life and become the icon he is today? Well, luckily enough we don’t have to answer those questions because it all fell in place!

The videos were shot when he was playing his first live gig only 16 days after joining the band. You can see that Dave spares nothing in terms of putting in all his energy and enthusiasm to make everyone rock out! He was 21 when he was on stage that day.Β

Some moments in history play such important roles that you get to appreciate them after a very long time!Β
