May’s getting a whole lot hotter and we ain’t talking about the heat!

Purushwadi has been known for its stunning visuals of fireflies, creating a magical sight indeed and a key attraction in visiting the little village! As if it was an image taken out of a wonderland story itself! Known for being the home of these gorgeous creatures, Purushwadi is finally getting a festival devoted to them and we can’t wait to pack our bags for the place.

For those of you who don’t know, the Purushwadi village is located just 200 kms away from Mumbai. Thanks to the organization called Grassroutes, the village’s tourism has been on the rise in the last five years, forming a perfect weekeend getaway. You canΒ check out Grassroutes website here.

Guess those summer holidays are planning themselves, aren’t they?

How do you get there?

The best way to get to Purushwadi is to hire a car or if you have your own, even better. IgatpuriΒ  and Kasara are the closest stations. From these stations, you can catch a bus or jeep to Rajur petrol pump and then from there, another jeep to the place.
