The rapper is clearly taking sides when it comes to politics in the USA and someone’s got a problem with that.
BADBADNOTGOOD’s new track “Lavender” features rap star Snoop along with Kaytranada, but by the look of the second video that was released, it also stars a lookalike of a largely known individual! See it for yourself:
In the new video, Snoop shoots a “Ronald Klump” right in the face with a toy gun and we have to say, it’s a bold statement indeed! The video focuses on not just the one clown but on the possibility of a world run largely by other clowns (and their clown babies too!). The video also shines a light on the current issue of gun control in the United States as well as police brutality that’s been highlighted in the past few years.
But now the 45th President of the United States tweeted his thoughts on the video by stating on Twitter, “Can you imagine what the outcry would be if @SnoopDogg, failing career and all, had aimed and fired the gun at President Obama? Jail time!”
Senator Marco Rubio told TMZ, “If the wrong person sees that and gets the wrong idea, you could have a real problem. Snoop shouldn’t have done that. We’ve had presidents assassinated before… so anything like that is something people should be really careful about.”
In a statement to Billboard, Snoop stated, “I just put it out because I feel like it’s something that’s missing. Any time I drop something, I’m trying to fill in a void. I feel like it’s a lot of people making cool records, having fun, partying, but nobody’s dealing with the real issue with this f***ing clown as President, and the sh*t that we dealing with out here, so I wanted to take time out to push pause on a party record and make one of these records for the time being.”
Things are getting way out of hand now.
