If there’s one thing that we can all agree about festivals, it’s that they tend to get pretty messy. This might just be the solution.

NolsΓΈe and Berggreen, two women from the Technical University of Denmark, have come up with an idea that could make waste management at festivals a lot easier. For their first semester project, they came up with the idea for DropBucket, that they continued to develop. In 2013, at Copenhagen’s Roskilde Festival, DropBuckets made their first appearance.

Made of corrugated, recycled cardboard, the box is foldable and easy to carry around. It can be put up within seconds, and can also be reused a number of times! It has a water-resistant coating, and the pyramid shaped construction gives it stability. Since it’s made of recycled materials, it can also be disposed off easily once not needed.

There are usually too few waste bins at festivals, but the portability of these will make transporting them to the events easier. Considering how much trash gets thrown around at Indian music festivals, we think these would be a perfect way to keep surroundings a lot neater.
