Yet another Stereosonic edition is in the news for all the wrong reasons, this time, sniffer dogs nab more than 100 users at the festival
Australia’s prime music festival, Stereosonic, was expected to dominate the festival chatter owing to its mind blowing artiste roster and 5 city super tour. But this year, its in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Stereosonic Sydney witnessed an all out brawl, a man stripped naked in suspicion of holding drugs and now the Brisbane edition has another disturbing report.

More than 100 people have been caught on account of holding illegal substances at the festival. The sniffer dogs helped local policeΒ seizeΒ ecstasy, cocaine, cannabis, amphetamines and GBH, or liquid ecstasy, during the arrests. These people will be asked to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates court over the coming weeks.
It’s disappointing to read such negative reports coming from a festival with the reputation that Stereosonic possesses, let’s hope that next year onwards we hear much more about what actually went downΒ at the festival.
