Glastonbury never ceases to amaze us when it comes to announcing the army they assemble for their festival each year. Having already announced a quite blistering artists line-up spearheaded by the legendary WHO, the Somerset gathering has once again drawn trumps by inviting the inspirational Stephen Hawking this year.
Besides music from nearly every genre imaginable on over 100 stages, there are performing arts with cabaret, theatre, circus, childrenβs entertainment, poetry, healing, and much more. Glastonbury is a festival like no other. Buddhism’s spiritual leader – the Dalai Lama will also be making an appearance this year and Mr.Hawking‘s presence should just add to the magic of this incredible festival.
Mr.Hawking’s theories have redefined the modern space and his insight will definitely be a focal point of inspirational for the young chaps in front of who he will be present at the festival. The June 24 – 28 festival could also host a screening of the recently released biopic, The Theory Of Everything – with lead actor Eddie Redmayne also grabbing an Oscar for the leading role. Β Β
