You may know Snapchat as the app with the highly addictive real time “filters” (such as the face swap) that add special elements to your images or videos. Another feature that you’ve probably used is Snapchat LiveΒ Stories which are a compilation of photos and videos, curated by Snapchat, from people using the app at an event.

The $20 billion social media giant Snapchat is everywhere and now with a new business deal with live music company AEG LiveΒ the app will cover some of its biggest events such asΒ the Stagecoach Country Music Festival, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Panorama, Hangout Music Festival and FYF Fest.Β Snapchat will also be creating unique filters for each music festival that will only be available to people at or near the festival grounds using GPS coordinates.
“Partnering with AEG Live helps us capture thousands of unique perspectives from the event, allowing our community to dive in to the story and feel like they are actually there — from backstage to the front row,” said Ben Schwerin, director of partnerships at Snapchat, in a press release on Wednesday.
