Just one word, Gorillaz!

This week is all about the new hits and particularly oneย virtual band! Take a look at the hottest tracks of the week:

1. The Heart Part 4 – Kendrick Lamar

The rapper dropped a hint about a new album and the very next day we were treated with this beaut. The song takes a similar Bohemian Rhapsody-like three song vibe that just elevates it to a whole new level. The politically charged lyrics and cut-like rapping is exactly the kind of work we want from Lamar.

2. Saturnz Barz – Gorillaz ft Popcaan

This launch left the entire world SHOOK! After 6 long years, we’re finally treated to not just one but four tracks from the Gorillaz and this one is the wackiest of them all! The video is an interesting 360 degree concept that fits right in with their aesthetic. Just bloody brilliant!

3. Andromeda – Gorillaz ft D.R.A.M

The second gen from the Humanz album has to be this smooth melody. D.R.A.M’s vocals on this mystical, outer space dimension is perfect for the dance floor as well as a hangout track. We can’t stop playing this one on repeat!

4. Long Time – Blondie

Blondie are back after a damn long time and we’re happy as hell. Their sound hasn’t changed a bit in this current EDM phase in the music industry (Thank God). The disco-punk track is intense, electrifying and just how we enjoy it! Keep this one on loop till their album ‘Pollinator’ drops in May.

5. Perfume Genius – Slip Away

The one-man rock and roll connoisseur, Perfume Genius brings a new dimension to the conventional rock sound we’ve been listening to. 26-year old Mike Hadreas kills it with raw lyrics and visuals that are so appealing, even your parents would love it. Genius, sir!

6. Still Got Time – Zayn ft PARTYNEXTDOOR

Bad boy extraordinaire, Zayn has released yet another single but this time, he teams up with rapper PARTYNEXTDOOR for a rather demure track. Summer vibes are serious when it comes to this one, it’s along the same lines as Calvin Harris’ ‘Slide’ but hey! We aren’t complaining at all.

7. Chainsmoking – Jacob Banks

The British-Nigerian artist’s voice is seductive as it is but the infectious beats in this track are heavenly. The combination of techno, choir vocals and raw lyrics is brilliance we’re looking for. We’re addicted to this one and we suggest you check out more of his stuff ASAP!

8. Light Up My Body – David Guetta ft Nicki Minaj & Lil Wayne

David reunites with one of his hit making collaborators Nicki Minaj for this sizzling track that’s right in the middle of the feud between the singer and Remy Ma but we have to say, Nicki is slaying this one. Her singing voice sounds different than her usual rap but it’s one that we’re really into. Wayne obviously kills it on his verse as expected.

9. Last Young Renegade – All Time Low

We’re going all the way back to our emo phase when we had All Time Low on repeat. The band released this new track from their upcoming album with the same name and we can’t even describe the amount of nostalgia we’re feeling right now. Time to get out that eyeliner again.

10. Chasing Highs – Alma

This could easily be the song of the summer with the cool transition between the highs and lows of the track. We’re in love with Alma’s voice, how could you not? We need her to come out with an album ASAP!
