A number of new tracks were released last week and we’re loving it!

From new EDM collaborations to a classic cover and more, we’ve got you covered with the best tracks that have released this past week in the new edition of the Sherp’s Playlist! Give them a go now:

10. Chasing Colours – Marshmello & OOKAY ft. Noah Cyrus

Marshmello‘s latest collaboration features none other than eccentric Miley Cyrus’ younger sister Noah, which might be the reason why the voice sounds so familiar to your ears. The track’s upbeat melody, in certain segments, sounds almost desperate for hope, which adds an interesting element to the track. The original mix to the same track was uploaded a few months ago but the final version is what sounds even better.

9. Wave Your Flag – Afrojack ft. Luis Fonsi

After some drama that took place with regard to his personal life, Afrojack recently released his new track “Wave Your Flag” with Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi. The song has some serious carnival vibes and we don’t mind at all! The producer is constantly changing his sound to keep his fans engaged and it’s a technique that’s working wonders for him! We’re digging this one already.

8. By Your Side (Sade Cover) – The 1975

Matt Healy and the rest of the band add their unique touch to Sade’s iconic track “By Your Side”.  Although the cover sounds nothing like the original track, which was released almost ten years ago as a part of the album “Lovers Rock”, we have to say that The 1975 hit the jackpot with this one. The auto-tuned sections sound almost angelic, giving the track a more experimental sound which they are known for. Original and how!

7. I’m A Lady – Meghan Trainor

After “Can’t Stop the Feeling”, the bar has been raised for original singles for animated movies, especially since “Happy” blew expectations. Meghan Trainor, however, hits back with this track with some woman power. The artist combines her singing chops with a smooth rap transition in the song. She knows not to be worried cause the ladies get things done.

6. Swalla – Jason Derulo ft Nicki Minaj & Ty Dolla $ign

It’s been almost a year since Jason Derulo released new material and 2017 hits the right spot for the singer with “Swalla”. The track features not just one but two rappers, Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign. The track is undoubtedly Derulo’s style with its sexy, filled with bounce vibes and an equally suggestive tone. We can’t wait for the official video to drop with his signature dance moves!

5. Shape of You (Major Lazer Remix) – Ed Sheeran

The bass is definitely heavier with Major Lazer giving Ed Sheeran’s bold track yet another interesting twist. After recruiting Jamaican singer Nyla & reggae artist Kranium, the track is elevated to a pure club rager, according to our future predictions that is. The Jamaican influence is clear as day with this mix and dare we say, it sounds better than the original!

4. Still Feel Like Your Man – John Mayer

John Mayer released the follow up to his ‘The Search for Everything: Wave One’ with ‘The Search for Everything: Wave Two’. The guitarist sticks to his blues roots and smooth vocals with the emotionally charged song. You often see the man singing about his personal experiences but something about this track makes it feel more raw. Sigh, we wish he was our man.

3. Slide – Calvin Harris ft. Frank Ocean & Migos

Calvin Harris is back with yet another single for the beginning of summer while recruiting the ever talented Frank Ocean and ‘Bad and Bougee’ rapper Migos for the track. It’s the perfect track if you’re ready to relax and unwind for the summer at the poolside. The DJ has been in the studio for a while now and we’re waiting for another album from him in the near future. Keep those fingers crossed, people.

2. Stay – Zedd & Alessia Cara

Cara’s voice blends in effortlessly in the brand new track by the German producer. We’re loving the new addition on synth-like sound from Zedd who usually uses heavier drops in his tracks. It’s fresh and so damn good. Plus, he deserves some brownie points for the use of the ticking clock sound!

1. Something Just Like This – The Chainsmokers & Coldplay

The surprise performance by the EDM duo and the rock band at the 2017 BRIT Awards set the tone for the unreleased track. With soulful lyrics and a melodic drop, we expect nothing less from such a collaboration. Good job, lads!
