Ever wondered how it would feel to attend a music festival in the rainforest? Here’s your answer!

Music festivals are for trying new things out and it’s really great that the festival scene has grown enough for people to experience the vibe of a music festival in almost every kind of locale. Attending a music festival in a forest is probably one of those things that some of us only fantasise about but if you’re looking to turn this dream into reality, we have the perfect music festival for you.

The Rainforest World Music Festival takes place in a, no prizes for guessing, a rainforest. For anyone visiting the festival for the first time, it might feel like they’ve stepped into a corner of civilisation that is still pretty much unadulterated of modern times. Every year the Sarawak Tourism Board welcomes thousands of music enthusiasts from around the globe to the Sarawak Cultural Village, a hamlet nestled at the foot of Mount Santubong, just 35 kilometres outside of Sarawak’s capital, Kuching. Celebrating the diversity of world music, the three-day festival runs workshops plus full-fledged performances on the two stages. You know what? Let the pictures explain the rest!
