The resilience of the human spirit took center stage at an Australian festival this past week. Dylan Alcott, part of the gold medal winning, Australian paralympics basketball team, was seen busting a smooth rhyme alongside rap star Ghostface Killah. Not only did he shell out an impeccable verse on stage, he did this shortly afterΒ completing a 24-hour wheelchair tennis marathon in Melbourne to raise $90,000 for the Starlight Foundation and Variety Children’s Charity.

At the festival, New York rapper Ghostface Killah asked somebody from the crowd to join him on stage. Alcott asked his friends to hoist him high, and later, crowd surfed his way to the stage, and deliveredΒ Method Man’s verse on the Wu-Tang classic β€˜Protect Ya Neck’. Check out the 3 minute clip below:

The Meredith Music Festival is one of Australia’s top rock events, and this spirited performance was one of the highlights of the festival.
