Physicist Kate Stone has created turntables made out of paper, taking technology to a whole new level altogether!

Science and music have always been closely associated. It is always enthralling to see the concepts and designs scientists come up with to help develop our society, be it in the music realm or any other aspect of daily life.

Throughout her lifeΒ physicist and research engineer, Kate StoneΒ has been fascinated by technology and paper. She has spent the last ten years learning how to combine the two. She has worked with other physicists to create rare and unimaginable inventions including newspapersΒ with music and video in them and paper drumkits!

Kate is truly a one-of-a-kind creative artist who brings forth new technology by blending art and science. She created a DJ controller made of paper and wirelessly connects it to her iPad which is running the DJ software.

In the video below, she demonstrates how her design works. Skip to just before the 10-minute mark in the video to watch her demonstrate the remarkable discovery:

The sky seems to be the limit as far as technology is concerned! Who knew producing music would get so bizarre yet eco-friendly? But will inventions like these appeal to the laymen? Share your views with The Sherp!
