After the announcement of the self-hosted South Byย South Lawn Festival, Barack Obama cemented his name asย the coolest President the country has had so far.The event will be taking place in the front lawn of the White House and the lineup is as exciting as its venue.
The stage will come alive with performances by The Lumineers and Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings who will headline the festival. Everyone’s favourite Leonardo DiCaprio will be presenting his new documentary on climate change, Before the Flood, followed byย a live discussion on the topic with Obama andย climate scientist Dr. Katharine Hayhoe. The film also features original musicย from Nine Inch Nails’ lead singer Trent Reznor.

The cast and crew of the hit Netflix show Stranger Things will be conducting a workshop for film with stars of the showย Millie Bobby Brown, Caleb McLaughlin, Finn Wolfhard, and Gaten Matarazzo. Other exciting stuff will include a VR experience that will “place you inside a cellย to understand the psychological impacts of confinement like blurred vision, hallucinations, and a sense of floating that may occur after long-term sensory deprivation” along with a Lego exhibition and more.
