This year marked the legendary hunt for talent conducted by BACARDÍ and Only Much Louder (OML) Entertainment, who teamed up with All India Bakchod (AIB), and electronic producer, Nucleya, in their search for new talent to feature on the ultimate house party track. The hunt for talent to bring you the ultimate house party anthem of India has come to a close with finalist Ritviz Srivastava’s launch of UDD GAYE as part of the final playlist.

The four winners, Aarya, MALFNKTION, MojoJojo and RITVIZ will be performing at India’s Happiest Music Festival, Bacardi NH7 Weekender 2017 from December 8th to December 10th. BACARDÍ, in accordance with its aspirations, will utilize this platform to nurture the musicians of tomorrow, by collaborating with fellow artists to mentor and guide the next big stars to the party scene.

The 21-year-old Pune-based DJ, singer, and Hindustani music producer, RITVIZ began his career in 2013, and soon after solidified his title as an artist with the debut of his EP entitled ‘Vizdumb’ via UK’s Relentik Records in 2014. This release was soon followed by that of ‘Mukti’ in 2015, which was released via High Chai Recordings, a US-based global bass music label. His recent EP ‘YUV’ has been widely appreciated by top bass music producers from around the country, including Su Real, SickFlip, and Nucleya himself! His new track, UDD GAYE, which will feature on Bacardi’s ultimate party playlist has been garnering a lot of appreciation, with its catchy choruses and fun fusion of melody and electronic sound.

19-year-old singer-songwriter from Mumbai, Aarya, debuted his first EP entitled ‘One Year, One House’ only earlier this year in July 2017. Famous for being the youngest contestant on the acclaimed reality TV show, The Stage 2, the musician was lauded for his talent by both fans and the judges of the show themselves! Taking his inspiration from various artist across a variety of contrasting genres, including Pop, RnB, Rock, Acoustic Folk, Hip-hop, Rap, and more, Aarya’s diverse sound has seen him perform with some big names, including the renowned music producer and director, Clinton Cerejo, at a show in Jaipur.

The MALFNKTION project is the name of the electronic music project by Bangalore-based artist Aditya Alamuru, known for his combinations of upbeat rhythms and ethnic sounds and samples. The project takes its sound influences from classical Indian music, old Indian film music and audio recordings taken from the streets of Mumbai, including sounds collected in remote parts of the country. This fusion of Hip-Hip compositions and the diverse sounds of India has elevated Aditya’s music with its unique appeal, which attracts a diverse audience of listeners from both within the country and abroad.

Akshay Johar is an award-winning DJ and producer who operates under the alias of MojoJojo. His first EP was released in 2014, titled ‘Bass Bahaar’, as an ode to the music of 90’s era Bollywood. The release of his 9-track album titled ‘Shots Fired’ followed soon after. With a goal to develop the ‘Desi Bass’ sound in the Indian music scene, MojoJojo samples a number of elements from across the Indian diaspora. This is not the first time Akshay has used this technique, previously sampling nomadic desert tribes, Baba Ramdevʼs teachings in ʻYogic Joggingʼ and Tibetan monks chanting in ʻNepalʼ for his work, ‘Thar Bomb’. His steady rise to the top has seen him perform across the country, and in major cities and festivals including Vh1 Supersonic, EVC, and EDC.

The Bacardi House Party Sessions were incepted as part of BACARDÍ’s commitment to music through curation of upcoming musical talents in the country. This effort will see the coming together of India’s Happiest Music Festival, legendary artists and a widely acclaimed online entertainment channel to create a platform for artists to showcase their talent and realize their full potential.

BACARDÍ and OML Entertainment’s collaboration with AIB and Nucleya to hunt for fresh talent instigated an overwhelming response of 2,500 entries by the closing date. Now, they have returned with a stellar lineup of winners and a playlist that will surely be the soundtrack to our next night out on the town!
