The Japanese video game company Nintendo conducted their first live stream of the year Nintendo Direct on 9th of February, 2022. In a 40 minute event, a lot of new games were discussed. 

Monolith Soft announced the launch of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, a sequel to the popular Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The open-world role-playing game series last made to the Nintendo back in 2017; and we are expecting the latest release this fall.

A fresh look to the earlier known as Wii Sports in the form of Nintendo Switch Sports has been announced. The launch date is set to be April 29, 2022. The game is set to include multiple sports like volleyball, football, tennis, bowling and much more. 

June 2022 will see the comeback of Mario Strikers: Battle League. Nintendo Switch will also launch Hello Games’ No Mans’ Sky later this year; along with every update we have seen over the years.

One of the most anticipated games of the year; Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes is to be launched on Nintendo this June. Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp will also be launched on April 8, 2022. portal, Portal 2 as a collection called Portal: Companion Collection are some of the other games launching this year on the Nintendo switch.

One of the highlights of the event was the huge update announced to the Mario Kart 8 called as Mario Kart 9 Deluxe Booster Course Pass. The update will include 48 completely new courses and is set to be released in 6 different batches containing 8 maps each. The first batch of the update is set to be launching on 18th of march and others will follow. By the end of next year, all the updates will have be launched.
