During the 15th birthday of Serbia’s mega festival EXIT, another one was introduced for the first time and scheduled right after the end of EXIT’s festivities, christened Sea Dance festival.

Being relatively new, Sea Dance hasn’t slouched since. It has proven its worth within just two short years. Several visitors descended on the beach to witness a spectacular setup during the first edition; Sea Dance has since added up to 300,000 visitors to the EXIT Adventure, a unique festival holiday package comprised of two festivals in two neighbouring countries, whose first part is the globally acclaimed EXIT Festival in Serbia.

Listed below are all the points that makes Sea Dance Festival a very lucrative proposition, and worthy enough to add it to your festival list.

1. The location

Situated on the picturesque Jaz Beach in the neighbouring country Montenegro, named ‘Europe’s Best Beach’ by Lonely Planet for its long sandy cove and expansive mountains, it makes an ideal host for an array of world-class performers. The location itself will make you want to be there; it’s that breathtaking!

2. The reputation

If you want a statistical representation of how good the festival is, here you go: Sea Dance recently secured a guaranteed ten further years at Jaz Beach, and won the Montenegro Wild Beauty Award for its impact on tourism in the country. It was also voted the ‘Best Medium Sized European festival’ at the European Festivals Awards in 2015, which is a pretty big feat in itself. Forbes listed them in their Top 10 Europe’s Summer Festivals list along with EXIT.

3. The amazing lineup

This year, Sea Dance Festival has treated fans to an utterly gorgeous lineup. With a headliner like Skrillex and geniuses from other genres too, SDF has pulled a big one. You have Hurts, Lost Frequencies, Jeff Mills, Zomboy, Andy C, Sub Focus, Miss Sunshine and many, many more acts scattered on the lineup, with some more names yet to be announced.

4. Places to stay

Accommodation shouldn’t be an issue at all, as there are several hotels and apartments available around Montenegro, and the festival itself has camping in their Sea Dance Village, with two options for camping listed on their website.

5. The vibe

It’s that typical, laid back beach vibe you’d get from any festival. Most attendees will have come back from EXIT, so everyone’s ready to party some more. It’s a really pumped up, energetic vibe at Sea Dance Festival, and you’re bound to enjoy every bit.

If there’s one festival you should head to this July in the summer, it’s Sea Dance Festival. The sister of EXIT is going to get bigger this year, and will only grow in size in the coming years.
