Kick-starting summer has never been so grand! With the music festival season beginning in full force around the world, weโ€™ve compiled for you a list of music festivals to choose from, for April.

1. Coachella
Where: California, USA
When: 10th April

Probably one of the biggest festivals in the world, Coachella is notoriously popular for the spectacular set-up, not to mention the impressive line-up it churns out year after year. It happens bang in the middle of the Colorado Dessert at the Coachella valley, sees campers tenting in up in full spirit, and even has fashion line-ups inspired by it. With AC / DC, Alt J and Drake spearheading the artist list this year, Coachella is the festival to be at. Need more reasons? We got you covered here.

2. AfrikaBurn
Where: Tankwa Karoo National Park, South Africa
When: 27th April

The African offspring of the insanely followed, Burning Man, AfrikaBurn is no way a lesser bargain than the original. There is nothing left undersold at the event with awe-inspiringly large structures, sand-winds just like the original, music thatโ€™s testament to Burning Manโ€™s reputation, and of course the maverick dressers. A plus point, if you see it that way, is that the festival is much smaller compared to Burning Man, thus allowing you to check it out in entirety. But the penchant for self expression is a constant. Itโ€™s time for Africa?

7. Tortuga Music Festival
Where: Florida, USA
When: 11th April

Often referred to as the Coachella of Florida, the Tortuga Music Festival is special for a number of reasons, the most important being their outlook to marine life conservation. The festivalโ€™s sombre lifestyle holds an important message. That one can soak the heat in the warm Atlantic Ocean nearby, while playing audience to a number of rock and country artists, all the while being educated about the bit they can do for the marine wildlife. The conservational festival makes it a point to educate its attendees, albeit with music. If love for ecology doesnโ€™t take you to festival, we donโ€™t know what will.
