Minecraft 1.17 snapshot season is in full swing, with new features being added every week whilst refining the older ones. The Minecraft snapshot 21w10a just added a new cave biome that blends seamlessly into the newer caves.

Lush Caves
Lushcaves biome was first introduced last year at minecon live. But at that time the cave generation wasn’t that great so the lush caves looked a bit odd. But now that we have the snapshot, the caves look way better.
The lush caves don’t form a new cave variant, instead, they blend in with the caves that already exist. There are a dozen new blocks and items that are added through these lush caves’ biomes.
The lush caves vary in size, there are some which are really small extending to some small caves. While there are some which are so massive, they literally cover entire ravines!
Special features
The lush caves can be located without going unde3rground. There is a new type of tree that was added called azalea. These trees are rare and can generate anywhere in the world. Underneath the tree is root blocks, underneath which you can find lush caves.
These lush caves are naturally illuminated by glow berries, which also are a new food source. Axolotls can also be found in these caves, which can be turned into pets. Mojang is doing a great job with the update and any newer features will also be added as we near the release date which is June.
