Lucid, a new name on the block, has a line up that promises to make your monsoon electrifying!

Bummed out by the rain? Well here is your silver lining that is if you consider music to be your elixir for gloominess – Space by Lucid. Even though they are a new name in the Indian music scene (the guys behind the company have loads of experience on the international circuit which they have brought with them to India), Lucid has put together a mega, multi genre line-up that is powerful enough to knock out any traces of rain related sorrow! Spread across a time frame of three months Space will initially be conducted at Kue Bar in Pune and Big Bang Bar & Café in Mumbai (and from what we hear they are working on sorting out a venue in another city as well)! The list of artists they will be bringing down include a five star names like:

With more than 50 amazing original releases, tracks and remixes under his belt British Producer & DJ Max Cooper, is right up there in the list of electronic music geniuses! He is most famous for being a composer whose live sets can raise blisters in a club and this amazing ability has gotten him significant praise including a ‘RA top live act of 2012’, ‘RA top 100 DJs of 2011’, ‘Beatport top artist of 2012’, to name a few.

D!RTY AUD!O is a Los Angeles native who has been producing for almost two years. First discovering the EDM scene at the age of 12, it was only a matter of time before he would discover it to be his true passion. Moombahton (a fusion genre of house music and reggaeton) has been the highlight of D!RTY AUD!O’s career, having his tracks played by the likes of Diplo, Sidney Samson, BroSafari, Gladiator, Nadastrom, and many more.

Bucharest-born Liar propels through different styles and tempos with musical nods to the likes of Holy Voices repetitive textures and Synkro’s skittering garage beats. That said, he prints a unique signature on each of his tracks to make it distinctly his. Liar’s music has been tremendously supported by the likes of XLR8R and Mary Anne Hobbs on her famous Xfm weekly show.

Hailing from Toulouse, Chloé Herry, is a 20 year old sound engineering student who combines technical precision with a wild imagination. An accomplished instrumentalist, she began her music career aged 11, playing classical guitar. At 16 years old, she started producing electronic music, influenced by edIT, Bonobo, Timbaland and Amon Tobin. Her tunes defy genres, oscillating between Glitchstep, Glitch-Hop, Hip-hop, Dubstep and Acoustic.

Bakermat, a.k.a. Lodewijk Fluttert, has had a super-quick rise to the limelight. He discovered house music when he was around 12. He started practising a lot with production and DJ’ing, where he quickly developed a sound of his own. His sound of deep house with jazz and soul influences, started to get a lot of attention in this short time. He went from being an ordinary student with no musical network at all to a producer with labels and agency’s knocking on his door.

So essentially this exciting series of events is going to be a unique space (free from the rains) curated by Lucid, where you are going to be exposed to music & sounds (and some of the very best) performed by hand-picked artists destined to be stars of the future, so you know that this monsoon showcase is going to be amazing!
