Last week, The Sherp put together a list of leading female vocalists in dance music. This week, The Sherp picks the top 5 male singers whose vocals are not only mesmerizing but also intoxicating to the ears as well as the mind! So here goes…
1. Richard Bedford
This British singer-songwriter is best known for his collaborations with Above & Beyond. His track ‘Sun & Moon’ took the dance music world by storm! Recently, he sung the track ‘Love Never Came’ for Armin van Buuren’s latest album Intense. Richard also plays the piano, drums and the guitar. Currently, he is taking time out to write and record his solo album apart from working on other new projects.

2. Matthew Koma
Born in Brooklyn and raised in Long Island, this American singer-songwriter started off his career with punk rock, later evolving into an amalgamation of genres ranging from pop and hip-hop to electronic music. He has worked with Zedd, Swedish House Mafia, Alesso and Ryan Tedder of One Republic.

3. Jonathan Mendelsohn
From a very young age, this American singer-songwriter-producer knew he was going to lead a life dominated by music. He began writing songs at the age of 11! Over the years, Jonathan has fired up crowds internationally on tours with Dash Berlin and Morgan Page among others. He works really hard to make his tracks a unique experience for the listener. For him, being an artist is all about making the listeners immediately recognize his voice when they hear it in a song.

4. Christian Burns
An English musician from Wigan, Christian was part of the popular British band BBMak. After the band broke up in 2003, the members went on to pursue their individual careers. Since then, Burns has been collaborating with the big names of dance music like Tiesto, Jes Brieden, Benny Benassi, Richard Durand, Matt Darey, Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Sebastian Ingrosso and Dirty South. His hits include ‘Power Of You’, ‘As We Collide’ and ‘Night & Day’among others.

5. Chris Madin
The singer from London has taken off his career and how! His debut solo album ‘Jigsaw’, on which he has worked with some great names, received global recognition. The tenth track in the album was written by none other than international superstar Ed Sheeran! Recently, he has worked with trance legend Dash Berlin. Here’s what he had to say about his music “I love to write songs that have a concept behind them, something that people can relate to without singing about the obvious and put as much personality into my songs as possible! I spend most of my time writing, singing, playing, performing or listening to my music but I do love football too.”
