Regarding as one of Europe’s finest music festivals, Sziget has just announced their blockbuster headliner for 2015. This will be an exclusive European appearance,ย The four Followills have been on a fairly relentless run for the preceding twelve years, releasing six albums, gathering Grammy’s, BRIT awards and touring the world dozens of times since emerging from Nashville in early 2003. Robbie Williams,ย Alesso,ย Major Lazer,ย Paloma Faith,ย Hollywood Undead, NERO,ย Foxes,ย Beatsteaks and many others have also been added to the line-up.
A combination of music, theatre, exhibitions and circus, truly representing it as the โIsland of Freedomโ.ย That Hungary could play host to one of the largest cultural events in Europe should come as no surprise as the countryโs beauty is a conversation topic among hinterland wanderers. If the fact that the festival takes place smack in the middle of the Danube river, in the beautiful island city of Budapest, for eight whole days doesnโt entice you, hear more. The festival not only packs the best of the talent across genres covering pop, rock, electronica, jazz, metal, blues, roma, and classical, but it also acts as a self-sufficient centre, providing no reason to exit.
