Yes, the Bon Iver lead singer took to the DJ booth to perform a set in the city.
Bon Iver hit it big time when “For Emma, Forever Ago” launched in 2008 and ‘Skinny Love’ became everyone’s favourite track. Vernon later featured in various collaborations with various artists likeย Kanye Westย (twice), but he’s taken it up a notch by performing a set filled with techno music.
The band is currently in Berlin forย Michelberger Music, a two day art and music festival based on various jams and collaborations. It is organised by Vernon and Nationals’ย Aaron and Bryce Dessner. The example was put forth this year by Vernon as he played DJ for a techno set with artists like Teenage Engineering and British rapper Trim.
The band just released their new album “22, A Million” last week and it seems like they’re completely changing their sound. Take a look at some of the clips from the event that took place at the Michelberger Hotel:
The event was truly unique by the looks of it. Bon Iver has recently released a few lyric videos for songs like 29 #Strafford APTS and 666ย ส. Let’s hope he does more such creative projects in the future.
