Undoubtedly, one of the most extraordinary festivals in the world, Burning Man has kicked this morning, smack in the middle of the Nevada desert.

This coming together of more than 50,000 souls from all around the world at Black Rock City is being broadcast LIVE via their Ustream link.

Described as much ‘more’ than just a festival, Burning Man’s primary attraction is the unconventional way in which the festival is curated and organized.

Cut off from the rest of the world and held in the middle of the desert, where temperatures hover around 35-degrees Celsius during the day, Burning Man isn’t for the faint of heart. The official Burning Man website says:

“Complete with its own post office and radio station, Black Rock City has a few infamous principles that everyone agrees to abide by, like no currency, a gifting economy, radical self reliance and expression through art” 

Burning Man doesn’t announce a line-up or set times, so you’ll just have to stay watching to find out which big names the festival’s recruited for 2014. Burning Man runs on until the 31st, so make sure you stay tuned.
