Mother Monster is back and stronger than ever.
The Tuesday night premiere episode of Scream Queens just got better when ace singer, Lady Gaga, debuted her new music video ‘Perfect Illusion’ from her forthcoming album Joanne.
The video features Gaga dancing through a dessert landscape, perhaps at the best rock music festival that took place since the 80s. Much later, she finds herself performing amid a huge crowd under the night sky, about someone who broke her heart. Mark Ronson, Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, and BloodPop, who have also co-produced the track make a cameo yet fun appearance.
She ends, appropriately to the song’s theme, alone again in the desert. Although it has none of the loud elements the singer is famous is known for, her jerky dance moves and disco lights create a great ambiance for a dry dance party. Rumours were swirling around about the track being written about her ex-fiance Taylor Kinney, but she put those to rest by saying he’s still her best friend.
Regardless, the video is wild, warm and everything pleasant to the eyes, with gorgeous shots of the mosh pits and overflowing crowd that carries her at the end. Truly, Lady Gaga has killed it with her breathtaking voice and the video has already been viewed half a million times by Tuesday midnight itself! We can’t wait for the album when it comes out next month.
