India’s largest multi-genre music festival, kicked off its edition this year with a heavy set in Meghalaya (Oct 27-28) and is set to take place in Pune (Dec 8-10) later this year. The BACARDÍ NH7 Weekender Express editions are smaller set-ups of the original festival and offer a glimpse into the original festivities. The Express editions debuted last year with great success spanning across five cities. This year, the roster includes an additional number with Express editions having already taken place in Kolkata, Bengaluru, Jaipur, and Puducherry, earlier in the year. Indore (November 26), Kochi (December 2) and Goa (December 23) are set to witness the remaining Express editions this year.
“As we keep doing the festival year after year, there are two trends that we see – increasingly, there are people traveling from other cities to come to the main events, and there are more and more people asking us to bring the festival to their cities,” says Vijay Nair, CEO and founder of OML Entertainment, that organizes the festival. “Goa is already well-entrenched on the tourist map, and many popular events have been happening there for a while now. We’re happy to make our first BACARDI NH7 Weekender foray here.“
