The bill for 2017 makes Glitch the gem in the Maltese festival crown!
Glitch Festival have just announced that the 2017 edition will be taking place on the 7th and the 8th of September, rounding off the summer festival season at Gianpula Fields, Malta. The idyllic Mediterranean island hosts the festival at the colossal house and techno fortress for a sonic journey boasting of a bigger line-up, multiple stages and locations, and the same good vibes!
The heavy-hitting house and techno makers on the bill for the second edition include Ben Klock, Maceo Plex, Mr G, Jon Hopkins and Legowelt; topping up last year’s line-up. Last summer, thousands of electronic disciples across the globe had made their way to the iconic skyline Maltan city of Mdina to witness Len Faki, Carl Craig, Midland, Ben Klock, Fatima Yamaha, Kink and Dave Clarke to name just a few for Glitch’s groundbreaking debut.
Glitch Festival’s library of sounds for 2017 is sourced from darker, bass driven techno to soul-searching disco. The line-up so far includes: Ben Klock, Blawan, Dax J, DJ Seinfeld, DJ Stingray, Jon Hopkins, Jupiter Jax, Legowelt, Maceo Plex, Marcel Dettmann, Mr. G, Palms Trax, Recondite, Vril and Hail Blk. Helming headlining duties is Berlin based techno powerhouse, Ben Klock, with a reputation for stellar extended sets, and we couldn’t be more stoked for him to tear up the fort sound systems. Audio maestro Maceo Plex, will bring his trademark house blends to the Glitch Fortress, followed by earth-shattering techno groove from Marcel Dettmann. The mesmerizing, Jon Hopkins, will perform his alternative, modern electronica making him a bucket list act for Glitch 2017.
Veteran artist Mr G makes a very welcome addition, alongside the Plangent Records boss Recondite, bringing his ace techno game. The eclectic Legowelt, who alternates between funk, techno, jackin house, disco and everything in-between is on the cards for this year. Keeping up with their discerning programming Detroit House artist Palms Trax, and lo-fi king DJ Seinfeld return from last year’s edition. Rounding things off is the dreamy composer, Jupiter Jax and Hail Blk, representing the Maltese underground.
Partygoers can lap up the last of the summer sunshine against a backdrop of sun-kissed house and disco followed by darker techno, acid and electro taking the party through the night for the perfect combination of festival and holiday in one by grabbing tickets here!
