If you’re in the mood for some homegrown groove this weekend, you’re in a spot of luck. Thanks to the enterprising folk at KRUNK – comes a whole new ‘funky’ experience.
Rightly named FUNKY TOWN – Episode 1, this gig will feature some of India’s most popular electronic domestic talent namely Dualist Inquiry Band ft. Sandunes, Jiver (Jivraj Singh) & Sahej Bakshi, EZ Riser & NANOK.
As an artist management agency, KRUNK has always been known to promote a mixture of leading and break through electronic artists and producers in the country.
Dualist Inquiry Band
These incredibly talented group of producers need no introduction. The Dualist Inquiry Band are probably THE most popular electronica producers this side of the country. Comprising of percussionist Jivraj ‘Jiver’ Singh, synth producer Sanaya Ardeshir (aka Sandunes) and brain child and producer Sahej Bakshi, the band recently gave a stellar performance at The Bacardi NH7 Weekender and have also bagged a Red Bull Bus Tour.
EZ Riser
The solo project of Bay Beat Collective’s Sohail Arora, EZ Riser is all about glitch hop, breaks, bass house and IDM. With BBC mostly being about bass sound, EZ Riser pushes into focus newer forms of exactly that. What’s his sound you ask? Think Pretty Lights, Freddy Todd and Koan Sound.
NANOK
NANOK also known as Jai Viswani has been a DJ for awhile and has been producing music that has disco, funk and dance vibes attached to it. This gig will be his first to showcase his new sound and direction.
