That’s right! New York’s favourite and largest dance music festival is all set for its Japanese invasion

Yesterday, the good folks at Electric Zoo announced that it was high time the festival moved to Japan. As the plan goes, the festival will be held for the very first time in Japan on the Makuhari Beach on the outskirts of Tokyo.

The festival will take place on May 6, according to the website.

Apart from their expansion to Mexico, which turned out to be a great call on their part, this would be their second chance at testing the waters in foreign territory. However judging from their brand and its reputation, we’re pretty sure the Japanese version of the fest will be a massive hit!

Also, Asia is the next big market for festivals, as we’ve already seen the likes of Future Music and UMF expand to Japan and Β South Korea, Kuala Lumpur and Australia.

Following the Β shaky Tomorrowland rumours, we’re just hoping something pans out for India, soon.
